This year the Tibet Autonomous Region allocates 10 million yuan to construct rural multi-service stations and experimental stations will firstly be built in Qu county and Lhunzhub county in Lhasa, Kunga county in Lhoka Prefecture and Nagqu county in Nagqu Prefecture. In next 3 years, the region will try to construct 586 rural multi-service stations.
With the aim to solve service issues about methane, agricultural machines, radios & TVs, drinking water for men and animals, etc. the multi-service stations will be comprehensive units for many service items including equipment maintenance, management and protection etc. The methane service is most urgent of all as Tibet is popularizing methane projects in the region.
Funded by the central government, the rural multi-service stations will attract all kinds of rural cooperation organizations as well as capable individuals to join in. The charge for services in a reasonable standard will be open to the public according to different service categories. Most of the fund from the central government will be used in purchasing equipments and cultivating staffs.
These service stations will develop by excellent services considering both the service cost and the receptivity of the local people.
